The property’s 8.6 rating reflects guests’ appreciation for its warm hospitality, attention to detail, and value proposition. As a bed and breakfast, The Hunter House likely occupies a heritage building, as is common in this historic Vancouver neighborhood, potentially featuring architectural details and character that newer accommodations simply cannot replicate. The included breakfast provides not only convenience but an opportunity to start the day with a nourishing meal before exploring Vancouver’s many attractions. While maintaining its 3-star classification, The Hunter House excels in creating memorable stays through its authentic approach to hospitality. For travelers seeking to experience Vancouver through a more intimate lens, with knowledgeable hosts who can provide local insights and recommendations beyond what a typical concierge might offer, The Hunter House Bed and Breakfast presents an excellent choice. Needed a sheet on bed, a bath mat, extra pillows. Needed some paint on wall repair behind the door. Parking was good, enter and room codes worked great. Breakfast was excellent.

Just TERRIFIC! It’s a quaint, historic house that’s located conveniently. A bunch of rooms make it feel a bit like you’re staying in a house without the problems that come from renting a room in a house (dirty rooms, lack of professionalism/amenities that come with hotel, etc.). This place perfectly balanced the historic house feeling with meeting the needs and desires of the modern traveler. Breakfast was good, too, served in a room downstairs. A+!
What could be improved: Slight issues with the WiFi, otherwise, a fantastic stay!Susan from Canada – 22 March 2025 (9/10)
My suite was lovely, comfortable and cosy. The instructions before coming were very helpful. Breakfasts were tasty and the staff were friendly. I recommend it!

Location to the hospital
What could be improved: Needs to be modernised a little ,in my opinion only ,change the colour through out the premisesHanna from Canada – 27 February 2025 (9/10)
Coziness, quiet and welcoming
What could be improved: The small crack between the door and the frame where light could come in at night. Honestly not a big deal though.Anne from Canada – 26 February 2025 (8/10)
The breakfast was great.
