Best Western Premier Chateau Granville Hotel & Suites & Conference Centre Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Best Western Premier Chateau Granville Hotel & Suites & Conference Centre, you immediately notice it’s not your typical chain hotel. The lobby has this sort of refined elegance that feels upscale without being stuffy — honestly, it punches above its four-star rating. Located right on Granville Street, you’re literally in the thick of downtown Vancouver, which means the energy of the city hits you the moment you step outside. The hotel’s prime position on this vibrant street offers immediate access to the urban pulse while maintaining an air of sophistication.
The Location Sweet Spot
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re close enough to everything that matters but not drowning in tourist chaos. Granville Street puts you within walking distance of the seawall, Robson Street shopping, and some fantastic restaurant. The Canada Line station is just a few blocks away, so getting to the airport is actually painless. Couples seem to really get this location (the feedback backs that up), and there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to English Bay for sunset without dealing with complicated transit. The neighborhood strikes that perfect balance between accessibility and authentic local character.
Room Experience
The suites here are where this place really shines. My room felt more like a proper apartment than a hotel stay, with enough space to actually unpack and settle in. The separate living area makes a huge difference if you’re staying more than a night or two — you know what I mean, sometimes you just need somewhere to spread out that isn’t the bed. The windows are large enough to give you decent city views, and the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering you’re on a busy downtown street. Each suite is thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort and livability.
Breakfast & Practical Stuff
The breakfast situation is honestly better than I expected. They’ve got the full spread — continental options, proper English breakfast, plus vegetarian and gluten-free choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. It’s served in their restaurant, which has this nice natural light that makes morning feel less brutal. They have private parking on-site, which — if you’ve ever tried to park downtown Vancouver — you’ll know is worth its weight in gold. The combination of quality dining and convenient facilities makes daily logistics effortless.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it balances being in the heart of everything while still feeling like a retreat. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood well, so they can point you toward the good coffee shops and away from the tourist traps. The conference facilities mean it attracts business travelers who appreciate efficiency, but the suites and location make it work perfectly for leisure stays too. It’s that rare hotel that doesn’t make you choose between convenience and comfort — you get both at exceptional value. Whether visiting for business or pleasure, guests consistently appreciate the thoughtful balance this property achieves.
Hotel in Vancouver reservations surge before cruise departures when terminals bustle with Alaska-bound travelers.

Dorothy from Canada (7/10)
Location was only affected by the fact there were homeless people around the alley to the car park. They did not harass us at all though and the garage is secure which is excellent.
