Vancouver Traveller B&B Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Vancouver Traveller B&B on West 21st Avenue, you immediately get that “this is someone’s home” feeling — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. The three-star property sits in a quiet residential neighborhood that feels authentically Vancouver, away from the tourist crowds but still close enough to everything you actually want to see. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.3 out of 10, you know there’s something right about where this place sits.

The Neighborhood

What I love about this area is how it strikes that perfect balance between residential calm and urban accessibility. You’re in Kitsilano territory here — well, sort of on the edge of it — which means you get those tree-lined streets and that laid-back West Side vibe without paying downtown prices. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality that tourists rarely experience, with local coffee shops and small markets within walking distance. You know what’s great? Free parking is actually included, which anyone who’s tried to park in Vancouver will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The B&B Experience

This isn’t your typical hotel setup — Vancouver Traveller B&B operates more like staying with knowledgeable locals who happen to run a really well-organized guesthouse. The hosts clearly know their stuff when it comes to Vancouver recommendations, and you’ll find yourself getting insider tips that you’d never get from a chain hotel concierge. The rooms have that comfortable, uncluttered feel that makes you want to actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for your entire stay.

Breakfast Worth Waking Up For

The breakfast situation here is honestly impressive for a three-star place. They’ve got vegetarian and gluten-free options covered — not just as an afterthought, but actually thoughtfully prepared. The American-style breakfast hits the spot, especially when you’re planning a day of exploring the city and need something substantial to fuel you up. There’s something refreshing about sitting down to a proper breakfast instead of grabbing a muffin from a lobby display case, you know?

Why Guests Love It

That 9.4 rating doesn’t come from nowhere — it’s the kind of score you get when you consistently nail the fundamentals while adding those personal touches that make a stay memorable. The location works particularly well for couples (hence that 9.3 location rating from pairs), probably because you get privacy and romance without being stuck in some isolated spot. You’re close enough to walk to interesting neighborhoods, the beach isn’t far, and you can easily get downtown when you want that urban energy. It’s the sort of place where you feel like you’re experiencing Vancouver the way locals do, rather than just checking tourist boxes.

Reviews of Vancouver Traveller B&B

  • Cheryl from Canada (10/10)

The hosts were great and the space was very clean and comfortable.

  • Vikram from Canada (10/10)

Excellent location. Although it is a bit far away from down town, it is very close to major bus routes (Arbutus is half a block away, 16th, 25th Aves are close by with regular bus services). There is an excellent Italian restaurant within walking distance and a large grocery store very close by.

  • Mark from United Kingdom (10/10)

although we stayed for three nights we only had breakfast on one of those days due to day trips we had salmon bagels with yogurt and tea plus some fruit was available it was very tasty

  • Terre from United States (10/10)

Linda and her family made us feel right at home, nice conversations, good local information. The breakfast was excellent with a different plate served every morning. The 4 unit house allowed for good interaction with other guests. The location was very convenient for exploring greater Vancouver. Quiet neighborhood with street side parking.

This is a great place to stay with lovely hosts Jenny & Linda. My daughter & I couldn't fault it. Close to some eateries within 15 minutes walking distance. An ideal spot indeed.

  • Cosbie from United Kingdom (9/10)

There was a ridge in the middle of the bed which was the only small problem

  • Hyejung from United States (10/10)

The host, Linda, and her family were incredibly genuine and kind. It was the first time my friend and I had stayed at a bed and breakfast, but we were so glad we tried it. It was a lot of fun.
I stayed here for three nights, and the room and bathroom were clean.
Additionally, Linda’s breakfast was absolutely delicious!
The location is great, with bus stops just a few minutes' walk away.

  • Louise from Australia (10/10)

Breakfast was great. Linda and Jenny both extremely helpful.

  • Andrea from Switzerland (10/10)

We stayed as a family using two rooms in this B&B. We enjoyed the home-made breakfast every morning as well as the interaction with our lovely host who shared useful tips about the area. We could rest well and felt perfectly safe. We used Uber/Lyft to get to the city centre and walked to the nearest shops and restaurants. There was even a kitchenette that we could use in the communal space, so we had teas/coffees, and stored our cold drinks and snacks in the fridge.
