Here’s the thing about 921 West Pender Street — you’re literally in the thick of everything without the chaos of being right on Robson or Granville. I mean, you can walk to Canada Place in about eight minutes, hit up Gastown for dinner, or catch the SkyTrain at Waterfront Station without breaking a sweat. The couples who stay here aren’t wrong when they rave about the location (apparently they rate it 9.1, which honestly makes sense). You’re close enough to Coal Harbour that you can grab coffee and watch the seaplanes take off, but far enough from the tourist madness that you can actually think straight.

Look, the room isn’t going to blow your mind, but it does exactly what you need it to do. The beds are comfortable — actually comfortable, not just “hotel comfortable” — and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I really appreciate is that they’ve kept things simple but functional. The WiFi works (shocking, I know), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and you get a decent view depending on which side you’re on. Some rooms overlook the city, others face the mountains in the distance.

  Very helpful staff, excellent location – within 5 min walk of the final rapid subway direct line from the airport, which is quite convenient. Quality wifi, comfortable and silent room with modern coffee machine, fridge and lots of space. Within walking distance of many attractions and museums, and the Vancouver seawalk wall, 20 min walk to Chinatown. All in all, good value for money. Across the street from a major shopping mall and many nearby eateries and restaurants.

  This is a prewar hotel that has not been made into a luxury hotel. It is clean and comfortable however there are no extras. We chose it for the price and were very pleased with the choice.
